Biografia: 

Laura Astolfi received her Master Degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Rome in 2003 and her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Bologna in 2007. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering  at Sapienza University of Rome and a Technical Manager at Fondazione Santa Lucia Hospital, Rome, Italy. She has served as Guest Editor for International Journals like the Journal of Physiology-Paris and Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience and is currently an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Bioelectromagnetism and for the “Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering” track of the IEEE Annual Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Conference. Since 2014 she has been vice-chair of the IEEE EMBS Technical Committee on Biomedical Signal Processing. She participated in several national (Ministry of Health, Ministry of University, Private Foundations) European (7th FPs) and US (NSF and NIH) funded research projects. She has been National Representative to 2 EU COST Actions. She is currently the PI of a MIUR funded project FIRB "Brain-to-brain connectivity from simultaneous neuroelectric and autonomic multi-subjects recordings as a new tool to study human social interaction".Her research activity include brain connectivity, high resolution EEG source reconstruction, EEG applications to neurorehabilitation, simultaneous recordings from multiple subjects (hyperscanning), consciousness, cognition and social Neuroscience.She is Junior Fellow of the Sapienza School for Advanced Studies, Class of Science and Technology. 

Pubblicazioni: 

She authored 101 papers in International Peer-reviewed Journals (source: Scopus), 2 books and more than 100 contributions to International Schools and Conferences. Her h-index is 30 (Google Scholar), her total number of citations is 3022. Her total Impact Factor is 166.669.
