Biografia: 

Andrea Marrella is a Research Assistant at the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering at Sapienza, Universita di Roma, where he is a member of the Data and Service Management research group leaded by Prof. Maurizio Lenzerini and of the Human-Computer Interaction research group leaded by Prof. Tiziana Catarci. From 2006 to 2009 he worked in the range of the WORKPAD Project, whose purpose was to develop an innovative software infrastructure (software, models, services) and communication technologies for supporting collaborative work of human operators in emergency scenarios through process-aware information systems. In 2012, he has been a visiting PhD student at York University in Toronto, Ontario (Canada), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and worked on process templates synthesis through planning techniques with Prof. Yves Lesperance.

His research interests include business process management, automatic adaptation in process management systems, AI planning techniques, Situation Calculus, IndiGolog, disaster/crisis response & management, healthcare and human-computer interaction. Andrea Marrella is author of about 20papers on important international journals and conferences. He was involved in the local organization of the 1st edition of the International Workshop on Knowledge-intensive Business Processes (KiBP2012) in the range of the KR conference. His current h-index is 6 (Google Scholar). He regularly serves as reviewer for top-level conferences (CoopIS, BPM, AVI) and journals (Information Systems,AI Communications, ACM TOCHI).
